Rooting medium for Olive cuttings?

jsvand5October 26, 2011

I recently bought a couple Olive trees and would like to try to start a few cuttings from them. Would straight Perlite be best or should I try something else? Any tips aside from the medium to increase my chances of success?

Do Olives root easily as airlayers?

Take hardwood cuttings late sumer to fall..... apply 0.3% IBA (Rooting hormone)taking 40-90 days to root....bottom heat helps.
Airlayering not a useful tool in this case.
