Root cuttings from Romneya

madrone(VancIsl BC)November 1, 2008

I'd lke to take some root cuttings from my Romneya and would like to know if they should be placed vertically or horizontally in the rooting medium and if they should be placed outdoors (I'm in zone 8) or placed in a cool greenhouse? Is this the right time to do it or should I wait a bit longer? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have never been able to get Romneya cuttings to grow roots. I have had good luck by digging up suckers from around the outside of the plant with some roots attached. These potted up have grown very good. Al
