Virgin's Bower

I know there are several vines called this, but I don't know the scientific name for the one I have. All I know is that is grows on the roadsides around here, and blooms such lovely fragrant white blooms. Very pretty. I would like to propagate this plant so I collected the seed in late fall and am now storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I left the plumes on the seed. I have no idea on how to go about planting the seed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like Clematis Paniculata or one of the other autum clematis. I stored them in the fridge in damp vermiculite then winter sowed them a couple of years ago. They sprouted once the weather started to warm a bit. I just lightly covered them with the vermiculite once they were scattered on the seed medium.

Did you leave the plumes on the seeds or did you cut them off?
