JJ's Premium Yellow

Robert (zone 7a, Oklahoma)September 8, 2012

Picked this beauty up today at Southwood's in Tulsa for $40 (it was 50% off). I've been eying and sniffing it for months hoping the price would drop!

It's 3ft+ and has 5 tips.

It has a lovely perfumey scent that I find beautiful.

It's labeled Premium Yellow but it has a yellow center and the outer petals are white and rimmed with pink.

Anyone know what variety it could be?

The flowers are about 2-3 inches across. The petals are thin and not very waxy.

Doesn't really matter if I'll never know since I love the scent so much but just curious if anyone out there might know. :)

This is just a wild guess, but it looks similar to a JJ Vibrance.

Yay! Thanks, DelWH! I bet next year when it's growing in full sun the pink will be more pronounced like Vibrance.
Good call!
Thanks again.

Moonie,

Damn. It could be Xanadu. Guess I'll never know. Laugh.

Mike,

Yes. It was awesome asking for a discount AND getting it. Laugh.
