Roses "N"

TNY78(7a-East TN)January 23, 2013

Guess I'll start the next thread :) Not a whole lot of "N" roses from me, but I have a couple...

Tammy

Nasterana / Persian Musk

Nicola Parade (from the one year our Lowes sold ownroot minis)

Nacogdoches Rose (on my SP list hate to say...not a single bloom last season)

Nahema

Nevada

Nimbus (new 2012 and love the color!)

...and sneaking in a clematis: Nelly Moser

Guess I'll be sitting out this one--no "N's" : (

In the meantime, tammy, I love the pristine white of the first photo Nasterana. And I've heard good things of Nahema, but have never seen one before. I'm always attracted to those fully packed roses.

I am "loving" these alphabet roses! The Persian Musk is so pretty. I love white roses and the singles are just lovely to my eye. I especially love you sneaking in Nelly. Clematis are such good friends to roses. Would love to see more of them included in these pictures....if with roses! Thanks to everyone taking the time to share their roses...a life saver in winter. lesley

I actually only have one "N" to add, Nightsong by Dr. Buck. I have some photos of better shaped flowers from this plant, but none that show off the velvety texture like this photo does:

Lovely, Tammy! I had Nicola Parade but it didn't winter.

Lots of beauties, Marina, but Nahema really caught my attention!

One of the Bucks I'd never seen, Anne! Nice deep color.

I think "N" is the only letter I don't have! So I'll share a pretty perennial instead!

On to the beauteous N's with Tammy's Nahema, lush as your photo shows so well. I've wanted this rose for ages, but lack the space. Is she a very large climber for you? Nimbus is another beauty with that interesting color.
Ooh, another Nahema, Marina, and yours is so crisp and fresh looking. I read somewhere, I think, that Nahema was named for a perfume by Guerlain (wonder if it has a good rose smell). Nadia Renaissance is just petal packed gorgeous--love those wavy petals. And your Nimbus also shows such a rich color. Nymphenburg is just porcelain perfection.
annececilia that velvety look of Nightsong's petals makes them beg to be touched.
Thank you all for keeping the alphabet going with such inspiring photos. Diane

Diane, my Nahema isn't mature yet, but it seems to be vigorous! It was a band in spring 2012, and not its about 5 ft tall...really happy with it!

Seil, your picture is amazing! I love how frilly and different it is!

Marina, LOVE the iris! such pretty colors!

Anna, I too have Night Song, but it hasn't been a good performer. I still have it in a 1 g pot though...I'm hoping for better results once it goes into the ground this year.

Must not be too many "N"s out there :)

Beth, Nobilo's Chardonney is the exact color of Bleumenschmit(when it doesn't ball!), except with a HT shaped bloom...really pretty! I also like Nicole Freelander's color! I have Nathasha Monet as well, but no photos of it for whatever reason.

I have some of the same, (New Day & New Dawn) so I'll only post some I haven't seen on here yet:

Rosa, 'New Years' - she got eaten by a vole, so this is my only pic of her, poor thing.

Rosa, 'Night Owl', Cl

I love this rose. Simple and yet exquisite!
I eventually would like to have one climbing up onto the back of my little brick cottage.

Climbing 'Night Owl' behind the little pink rose.

I later moved Night Owl to the back of the rose garden so he could grow upon my Wattle Fence. I hope the voles don't get him. I need to take some cuttings and root some little owlets.

You can see Night Owl is very floriferous and has a unique and strong perfume, too.
