Driest March in recorded history?
With all the warm weather lately, we've had practically NO moisture this month... and not a drop of rain in the foreseeable future. Unless we get some rain by the end of the month... this will go down as the driest March in recorded history for my area...according to the news.
My compost pile is starting to dry out, and I'm having to feed it city water now...just to keep it hot. Adding manure and molasses to it, letting it sit a while first... Hope it won't be too hard on the microherd. My plants are dry too. I'm keeping straw on most of my garden beds, the newest ones are still empty... hoping to keep whatever moisture IS in there from evaporating too much. But my whole yard is just dingy, everything needs a bath.
Anyone else dealing with dry conditions like this, and how are you coping with it? I need some ideas...
