jtightAugust 22, 2014

Anybody interested?

I know it is getting into "harvest" time so just putting it out there.

We're all interested, but it's a little early yet.

I am with Dennis, it is a bit too early. I don't even have a single ripe pepper yet.

Is it as easy as just drying the pod out and extracting seeds?

I seed the pods and let then dry on a small plate. Dryer is better, especially if you plan to keep in the freezer. Never tried drying the pods - that would take up more space.

I am definitely interested in a seed swap.

As far as peppers go, I have habanero, serrano, cayenne, pepperoncini, purple and sweet bell peppers. I am looking for Scorpion and Bhut Jolokia seeds.

I also have various heirloom tomatoes and squash. The squash are butternut, acorn, crookneck, and straight neck. I am trying to add to that collection, too.

The heirlooms are Black Krim, Yellow pear, Djena Lee's Golden Girl, Brandywine Pink, Bonny Best, Evergreen.

I am new here so I apologize if I am too early.

Let's keep the "buzz" going a/ come October we can look to facilitate one.

I think that will work out good as it will give everyone time to prepare.
