What is a good mni to buy that will look good and last long? I live in Texas so it gets hot down here. Will they survive. My others bushes soak it up but I'm afraid it'll roast the little guys if I put them out...
Hot Tamale. Got to 4x4 in Phoenix full sun after 2 years and going strong!
Actually, I haven't found a mini yet that wasn't at least as hardy as their bigger counterparts. I just take the 4" pots and replant to a gallon until I see roots at the bottom then I put them in the ground. For anything already in a one gallon, I just put them in the shade for a few days, then in the sun for a few days (watered well throughout) before putting them in the ground. Even my 'grocery store' minis have gotten big and strong doing this and some of them went straight from store to ground.
