Souvenir de St Anne
It is really hard to pick which of the photos I have that are the best three. I will offer these as some of my best. The first is a trio of Oklahoma blooms that appeared when I wasn't specifically looking for them.
The next one is a picture of a flower off the climber Constellation for which I hope to get a replacement because it didn't survive that Easter '07 freeze.
The last one is a nice bloom of Silverado.
I hope you like these.

Guy de Maupassant:

Guy de Maupassant: it should be on the front of a postcard or card or calender... I love it. so pretty.
This is a fabulous thread, especially for those of us who are 2 1/2 months from blossoms...thank you thank you!
Here are three that I have to share.
Something caught my eye in these pictures. It looks to me like in comparing my Silverado with ramblinrosez's Silverado, the opposite direction effect of petal winding is showing up again. It is apparent in mine that the petals are winding counter-clockwise while in the the other one they are winding clockwise if you look at the very center. Even though it is two different bushes hundreds of miles apart, the variety is the same. I just find it interesting that it happens. Do you see what I am talking about?
Interesting,...I never really notice the direction at which a rose would be winding around to but perhaps it is the direction in which it is facing, mine is facing North northeast, which way is your bloom facing?
My Silverado was facing pretty much straight up. I have posted some pictures before of two roses on the same bush even blooming at the same time with their petals winding in opposite directions. The majority of the time the petals wind in a certain way. Once in a while one winds the other direction. Some try to wind in both directions which leads to what is called a split center. Why this happens I do not know. I just find it an interesting observation.

Not sure how to post more than one per post...
This is Cherry Parfait
This is Gemini. We had really cold weather when I took this shot. So the colors are really dark.
This is Queen of Sweden. I'm fairly new to taking pictures, plus I have a neurological problem which makes me nearly fall over as I'm taking each picture. So taking pictures is challenging!! :)
This is Memorial Day in bud form (obviously bud form LOL)
Astrid Gräfin von Hardenberg
My favorite pics...
this is my 2nd best..
Or may be 1st??????
....and the 3rd.
......somebody plz tell me how to attach multiple pics at a time on this forum......
Nice pics, Angel Face!
To post more than one picture in a single post you have to have some kind of on line photo storage account. Like Photobucket, Shutterfly, Flickr, Picture Trail, Picassa, etc., there are a lot of different ones to choose from. You upload your photos there and then copy their "html" code and paste it into you post here. You can post as many as you want that way.
I'm a renter of this house with 8 rose bushes, but I LOVE them like they're my own!
This was difficult--I only have a fraction of the photos many of you have, and I just struggled to narrow it down to three. You see, my 15 year old granddaughter, Clare takes wonderful photos. All credit to her. Nana
Here's Angel Face.
Nest is Jude the Obscure. Diane
And finally, here's a rerun of Blue Bayou. Diane
