ID Flowering Tree (Pics)?

sister_k(Zone 5 Lafayette, CO)April 1, 2009

Hi there, can anyone tell me what type of tree this is? I see them everywhere and there are several just outside my condo balcony. They are a couple of stories tall (i.e. taller than 2nd floor balcony) and I don't recall ever seeing any fruit on them. I don't think they are anything special, but I am curious what I'm looking at every day. I'm glad I got a few photos just before the storm. Of course, all the blossoms were destroyed in the blizzard. Such a shame, they were really only in bloom about 3 or four days before the storm hit. Ah well, that's mother nature, I guess. Anyway, if anyone knows what it is, I'd be glad to hear. Thanks!

Looks like a flowering pear from here, on my second glass of wine, trying desperately to fall asleep.

I would second the flowing pear. I have one in my front yard and the blooms look identical.
