Historic Rose? (Reprise)

holladayhouseMay 5, 2010

This is an update to my earlier posting. The rose is blooming! I have taken some new pictures, which include the flower, the buds, and the foliage. These, combined with the photo in the earlier post give a pretty good indication of what the bush looks like.

Any help in identifying this rose is greatly appreciated. Also, how does one estimate the age of a rose?

Someone mentioned that it looked like Cecile Brunner in your previous post. The recent pictures look like the Spray Cecile Brunner that I have. It's also called Bloomfield Abundance. One feature that identifies Spray Cecile Brunner is it has very long sepals, the green part that covers the bud. The flowers have a sweet fragrance.

If it is slightly peach colored it might be Perle d'Or, which is similar to Cecile Brunner, if it is a true pink I would agree it looks like CB. It looks a lot like the Pd'O that I have.
