worm tower

Someone sent me a link to this youtube video on how to make a worm tower. I think this looks like an interesting idea! Anyone ever tried this?

I have not tried it. Looks kind of interesting though it seems like the tower would fill up fairly quickly then one would need to move the tower to a new area. I do something similar with kitchen scraps. If I have a freshly turned bed I'll use a sharpshooter shovel dig down at least a foot and dump the bucketful of kitchen scraps in. Doesn't take long for the worms to consume it.
