Mystery rose in Glenwood Springs, CO

mountainrose11(4b-5a)June 11, 2013

Hi there,

I came upon this gorgeous rose and am dying to know what it is! I believe it is once blooming and has a mild to moderate scent. It is growing in glenwood springs (zone 5b-6a?). Thanks in advance for any information.

I see one of these every week, at my friend's place. She bought at a nursery but doesn't remember what it was labeled. I think it is one that has been sold as 'Climbing American Beauty', but have not confirmed that with a labeled living specimen. Also I think when I looked into this there was some question about plants being sold under the name being the true item. So this might be one that was sold as that cultivar but actually is not, I don't know.
