please help me identify this sherbet sweet coloured rose

gaelic_soulJuly 18, 2013

I visited Burton Agnes Hall in East Yorkshire yesterday and amongst the many, many roses, I saw this one and instantly fell in love. I thought it was beautiful but couldn't find a name and there was no-one around to ask. I'm thinking its a tea rose hybrid but thats as far as I've got.

Many thanks in anticipation of any help.

I've since heard from Burton Agnes that the rose is Rosa Fantin Latour but all the photos I've seen show it as wholly pink. The only one that I've seen that shares the same colour combo is a David Austin climber called A Shropshire Lad. I'm happy to think that the rose I saw is either one or the other!

I have to agree that it looks more like the Shropshire Lad and not the Rosa Fantin Latour.
