(1) are leaves supposed to die off in the fall?

(2) have small blooms(half dollar size) any suggestions?

Note. Have a 5 yr old plant that has never been pruned. is now 3.5 ft high & 6 ft across

Seems you've been ignored.

When you have such questions, you can use your favorite search engine to locate answers.

I went to google.com, then used the search phrase "how to grow montauk daisy" (sans quotes)

Here's just one site I found:
http://www.gardeningcentral.org/montauk_daisy/montauk_daisy.html

Here is a link that might be useful: growing montauk
