Has anyone else had this happen before?

2 of my rooted clippings have sent up extra shoots that aren't attached (at least above ground) to the original clipping. The new shoots seem to be growing crazy fast, too. I thought it was pretty cool!

They are likely coming from the callus or roots. They're rejuvenating themselves. The cuttings' new "basals". Kim

Mini basal breaks, that is totally cool! I hope you have a big yard, you're success rate seems VERY good - I am excited for you - great work!

Awesome! I'm glad to know the name for them :) Are they common with rooting clippings? I do have a very large section of undeveloped yard... Which I'd like to develop with these roses! :D

They look really good!!!! I just started trying to root roses a couple of years ago and I'm still trying to perfect my method. Out of curiosity, how long have them been in their pots?
