Which Clonex would you use when?

ms_minnamouse(7a)February 15, 2012

So I splurged and bought both Clonex Purple (softwood and hardwood, incase you didn't already know) and Clonex Red (hardwood, supposed to be able to root some dormant plants too I've heard).

Which would you use and when (besides obviously according to label)? I've never had much luck cloning roses. I'm about the try the wrapping method and I'm thinking I'll use Purple on one and Red on another one.

Anyone else use both? Did you see any difference?

On a side note, this experiment is probably flawed because they've been sitting in my fridge for the last couple of years. How long can they remain active like this?

I've never seen Clonex before. I'll have to check it out. Sounds like an interesting experiment. Keep us posted.
