My very first grown from seed rose bloom.

gr8heather(6b)March 20, 2014

My very first bloom from my roses grown from seed.
It starts out white, and as the light hits it it gets darker pink.
Very highly sweetly scented.
30+ more to go! :D

WOW!!! I'm gobsmacked!!

I'm just hoping for one of my seeds to germinate and have a flower. Very low expectations. It's my first time hybridizing. That's your first time hybridizing??? Good grief that's amazing!!

If I had one THAT gorgeous - I'd pass out!! AND it's fragrant!!!!!

Wow!
Amazing!

It is my first time. It's probably the strongest scented rose I've smelled. They are open pollinated, this one has good form and scent, but I'm hoping for some other colors from the rest. :)

Beautiful flower, nice color and shape. Do you know what rose you got the seeds from? Just curious to know if it resembles the parent.

Congratulations! That is a gorgeous rose. I have had great success with starting roses from seed. So rewarding. This year I will be looking for rose hip donations. All of my old heirloom Gallica's don't set hips.
