First attempt on T budding a rose

karen_pagayonJuly 25, 2013

I just want to share my first T budding attempt. My rootstock is fortuniana and my scion is gemini, the picture taken on its 4th day of budding. And this is also my trial for fortuniana if it will survive my climate (with winter protection of course) since i live in new york. If its a success then i might grow more roses in fortuniana.

I've never tried budding before but that certainly looks good to me! Keep us posted on how it does.

It looks real good. Good luck. I did one a few years ago and it's doing well. Mine is on multiflora
