This was listed as a trinidad scorpion. Thought it was a habenero but not sure. It is the size of a golfball if that helps.
It looked like Habanero to me to, at the first glance, before reading your note. But I am not sure about golfball size.
I have one scorpion with pods just like that - smoother and a bit larger than the other with no "indented bottom" or tail. I presume that it is a F1 cross off the true scorpion. Damned hot though. How is yours?
Dennis these are pretty smooth. I planted them late so these I have not tried. I was wondering if they will turn red or try it orange. These almost have a wax like and shiny skin.

Cut this beauty open tonight and it was a little green around the top of the pepper. It was hot but not as hot as the red savina. I think it wasn't as hot because it wasn't fully ripe.
There is also RED habanero (! ?), I have seen in some seed catalog .
