I wish to get some roses with a radio theme for my husband's birthday next month. So far, all I know is the rose named Radio Times.
Missouri's own Mary Margaret McBride had a popular radio show in the 1940s. I think she was the Oprah of her day. The rose named after her was one of the early AARS winners.
Well, the behavior of electrons was one of the keys that led to the transistor. So "Electron" might be a suitable choice. There is also a rose called "Murray Hill" (Bell Labs building where team worked on the transistor), but it isn't in commerce.
I hear a lot of those (plus the larger sort) on the radio.
You might try roses named after musicians who got established on radio: Dolly Parton and Minnie Pearl come to mind.
