Freezing Pollen for next spring.

ramblinrosez7b(JerseyShore)October 4, 2008

I started collecting my rose blooms for next years pollen. I store the pollen in plastic spice containers and put them in the freezer til spring. I did this last year and used some on crosses that produce nice big hips.

The spice containers work pretty well, they are made to keep spices dry so they keep the pollen dry also.

Is anyone else doing this?

I put together some pics and directions on how to collect the pollen. I hope this helps.

Can everyone read the directions on the pictures?
