this is a sweet little rose----I have it in a big window box.
That sure is a sweet little rose and it looks perfect in your window box!
Glad to see a picture of a mature Jefferson Rose. I picked one up this year from Ashdown and so far I am very pleased with it. How big a window box do you have it in? I plan on keeping mine in a pot but I am tossed between a 16" or 20" dia.
--My DH built the window box on the deck---It surrounds the bay window --the main part of the window is 5 feet and alnost 2 ft. deep---
It used to be very sunny but the trees have grown so much it no longer gets as much sun but JR seems to like the spot-
It is a lovely little rose
Thanks for the information. I think it will go into a 20" pot as it is about 19" deep. I had read JR is shade tolerant and I am glad to see it can take some shade and still do well.
Love the creamy peachy coloration on this rose, and it looks to be a great bloomer--really lovely!
Looks really nice with the lace curtain. Seems just the perfect soft looking blooms for there!!
Florence, it's a very charming rose, I like the lace curtain.
A rose in a big window box..hmmm, you're giving me ideas. Very pretty!
Its very pretty and a great idea to have the window box were you can see it bloom up close to the window.
This had me running to HMF and everything there makes this a must have. Mr. Moore produced some amazing roses. Thank you for introducing me to this mini.
Florence, that is so great looking, I am really glad you posted this.
The Jefferson Rose is happy in my garden too. It's especially beautiful in the spring.
Florence thats gorgeous!
I too love the pink and apricot within the same rose! It is a blooming marvel!
Florence, I went to the Fort Worth Botanical Garden this week and was very pleased to see a cluster of about 5 Jefferson Rose plants in one area of the garden, just outside of the main entrance to their huge rose garden.
Their JR's looked really healthy and happy.
