Salvia divinorum about to be outlawed in Maine

Too bad, really, it's just a plant. When will hops be banned? Lots of people get in trouble drinking beer too.

Rich, I followed your link and was horrified to see that the article states that Tennessee has banned possession of the plant. I'm in TN, and though I suspect the sheriff is not hovering around my Salvia collection, you never know!

After a search I discovered that the article is wrong. It's the active hallucinogenic ingredient that is banned. The law specifically states that posession of the plant for landscaping use is allowed.

Whew.
