Hi San fanciers....one of my three years old Baseball Bat bloomed last night.
The flowers have very nice fragrance.
Few days ago.
And this morning.
Wonderful set of photos. Congratulations. Yale
That is just amazing, I have never seen any type of sans bloom. Thanks for sharing.
this is my first time seeing baseball blooming...
nice plants ...
hi..my name is Han from indo ...just want to make friend with you ... thanks for sharing some wonderful pics at this forum
I've had mine since the early l990tys. No flowers, are you growing this plant with low light? What kind of soil? I think I will need to change my growing habits. Norma
wow! So close pics I could feel the scent!
I found 'Baseball Bat' is a sun-loving plant also need a lot of water too.
I grow most of my Sans in 2 parts perlite, 2 parts small pellet pumice,
1 part peat and 1 part loam mixed, I feed them with 'Osmocote'
I've noticed that a period of low temperature could be blooming inducement.
They usually bloom in our winter.
That does not look like low light.
I cherish your posts and wonder if I could have a mini display like yours in zone 4-5 wisconsin for a couple of months. Bugs and wind would be their demise I fear.
This is stupid I know but what is loam. I wonder where I could get small pellet pumice around here.
Thank you for posting! Diane
Hi Diane (^_^)
The loam is a kind of garden soil with some organic such as leaf-mould mixed.
WOW! Wonderful flowers on the Baseball Bat! Thanks Stephania for posting these pictures!
What is the species you are repotting?
It's just an unknown species from Tanzania that I got from EXOTICA, a german succulent source.
