Seeing salvias in the wild
I just wanted what a beautifull sight I saw the other day. I was driving pass the famous Y.O. Ranch here in Texas when I noticed that the big pasture on bordering the road was had a light blue coloring to it. I stopped to look with my spotting scope (like a mini telescope) and dicovered the whole pasture to be covered in Salvia Farinacia. It was incredible to look at, As the wind blew the flowers rippled like water across the field.
I see this Salvia all over this time of year but never in that quantity. There must have been over a hundred acres that had more Salvia in it than grass and it was in full bloom. I just wish I'd had a charged set of batteries for my digital camera.
