Storing seeds in mason jars

mosinmattMarch 5, 2009

I am wondering how well storing seeds in an air tight mason jar or #10 can would work.

I have a few bean and radish seeds stored like that at the moment. Shouldnt the oxygen free, and dry environment help them last a lot longer?

Well it should keep the moisture at the level you start with. Storing at 70 degrees or lower also helps. For some placing them in your freezer also helps but can damage some.
