Who is eating my white sage flowers?

love2birdJune 13, 2007

Does anyone know what type of caterpillar eats these? It's little, dark "sage" colored, eats the flowers, and you can see the poop. It does not bother me much, but as a naturalist I'm curious about it's identity. Some kind of moth maybe?

without a picture, I could ID it. Could be the little caterpillar of a white-ish butterfly that we have here in Central Cal, I am not sure where you are though.
