This is my current best rose. It blooms alot and takes the heat very well. The size isn't affected and the blooms last a long time. It is a 10 in my book.
and with temps in the high 90's and close to 100,
Are the buds as red as the 2nd pic from the bottom?
Thank you for mentioning her wonderful staying power!
I love mine too, Kathy. I love the yellow reverse which turns to white as the rose ages and it ages well and lasts for a long, long time.
Iris, I ran out to look. The opening buds are just like the 3rd photo. As they age, they turn a pleasant pinkish red and stay that way. They last an incredibly long time, considering our weather. I would burn up in 10 minutes in it!
I will have DH check for scent tonight.
Kathy, that is the prettiest thing to be surviving the heat.
Have you tried Lafter? It seems fond of heat too.
That sounds perfect Kathy. Thanks.
that is a nice rose....and such great photos !!!!!
See how mine becomes a white reverse following the yellow reverse after about two weeks on the bush.
Nice shots Kathy! It really is a good performer, isn't it?
Patricia, 2 weeks on the bush? I really am not sure how long mine last but I bet its close to that. I hardly need to deadhead it. It is so good, yet I don't hear much about it.
Yes, the yellow turns white after a while--both are pretty.
Carla, I don't have Lafter. I will check it out. Thanks!
Kathy, you might be able to tell from the location but mine are in quite a bit of shade in the afternoon but they get full morning sun and these were 2 weeks old. It was taken as a kind of experiment to show the person who I bought the rose from how well it lasted on the bush. They had just been watered and were so heavy they were falling over. It is the best rose I have for vase life, even better than Veterans Honor.
Looks awesome...would like to plant one, but have run out of space!
Perfectly beautiful, Kathy! Great job with the camera, couldn't be any better! Superb! Missy
