Help a newby ID a salvia?

jayco(5b NY)June 9, 2005

I am a newby with two salvias--one I know is 'May Night' and the other is something else very similar, which I want to ID. It has a color just like 'May Night' but a shade lighter, it's the same height but the foliage goes up higher on the plant. The habit is slightly more compact and the leaves are smaller and more full. The flower stalks, while more numerous and closely spaced, are shorter. Sorry no pic!

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I thought it looked quite a bit like the picture of 'Blue Hill." I think it's a nicer plant than the 'May Night,' whatever it is. Its foliage is much neater and the habit is more pleasing to me.
