Sansevieria kirkii var pulchra 'Coppertone'

marlonmachadoJuly 27, 2008

Is the color of this cultivar due to variegation, or is it a color mutant? Well, what I want to know really is if it will grow true from leaf cuttings.

Cheers,

Marlon.

Marlon-
I don't know the origins, but 'Coppertone' comes 100% true from leaf cuttings. The coloration is beautiful, and this is not only one of my favorite Sans, but also one of my favorite "houseplants". A beauty!!

Thanks woodnative,

It is good to know that it will come true from leaf cuttings, I want to propagate mine so that I can have spares to give to friends (people always ask me for an offset when they see my plant), but the plant offsets very slowly!

Cheers,

Marlon.
