Salvia Spathacea from seed

Does anybody know how long it takes for this species to flower when grown from seed?

When we sew seed at the optimal time of year (March/April) we will sometimes get a random flower in the late fall. Generally the next year. Sewing at other times takes longer, and we never get as much vigor.

Thanks. I have a plant grown from seed that is about 1.5 years old that is yet to flower. It has sent up a few stems that I'm hoping will flower but perhaps this fall.
