Braided Sans

elsier(z6 KY)August 26, 2008

A recent post from Stephania in Thailand showed pics of braided Sansevieria cylindrica.

When I repotted and divided my plant this summer, I ended up with several offsets. So I would like to experiment with braiding one of them, just for fun.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? How would you fasten the stems together? Rubberbands, string, wire? Do the stems eventually grow together or would they need to be tied tigether permanently?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
