help identify this seed

tschuhJune 16, 2013

Recently I was going through some photos from our family vacation to Mexico a few years ago. I have a picture of seeds from my trip.
I'm curious what kind of seeds they are and whether or not these seeds are obtainable in the US. It was a beautiful tree if I remember correctly.
All I really know is that they were in Mexico and are this brought red/orange color.
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm new to this but that looks like it could have belonged to a dogwood tree?

It looks like one of the Erythrina species, hard to say which one without a photo of the rest of the tree.
A common name is Coral Bean, and those "beans" are poisonous, so keep them from children and pets.
