Avoiding chaffe when collecting seeds

pippi21(Z7 Silver Spring, Md.)July 4, 2012

What is the secret to avoiding some chaffe when I collect flower seeds? I have been putting the seeds in a fine strainer but sometimes it is difficult to pick out and avoid getting some in the seeds. I tried a pr. of tweezers but they didn't work so great..

Maybe somebody else has a better and easier idea for this tedious task that they'd like to share.

A little chaff doesn't bother me. Whatever doesn't blow off the top (if the seeds are big enough to stay put) is fine.
