Blooming in spite of the heat

peachymomo(Ca 8)July 1, 2013

Despite our heatwave I've got a surprising number of pretty roses.

Anthony Meilland

Joseph's Coat

Le Pactole

Portland from Glendora

Autumn Sunset

Bishop Darlington

Abraham Darby

Julia Child

Molineux

Rose de Rescht

I couldn't resist posting a bush shot of Rose de Rescht because it's looking so good.

And one of a new basal shoot on my own root Lemon Spice that I planted in the spring.

Gold Medal, White Eden, Korde's Brilliant, and Kirsten Poulsen all had pretty flowers, unfortunately I wasn't able to get good photos of them so they'll have to wait for another day.

Have a nice day everyone, try to keep cool!

It's amazing how roses can do good when it's so hot, they are lovely! Really like Abraham Darby. Hope they keep blooming good for you. I second what Carol said about the rocks.
