ace of spades seed collecting

Hi, I am new to this seed saving and for the life of me I can't figure out where the seeds are! Are they in that egg shaped cone? If so, do you wait for it to turn brown or pick it now while it is green? I really like all the scabiosas but these have me scratching my head. Thanks, Sybil

Hi,
The scabiosa seeds are the cones. Check out the link below, scroll down for pics. Once they start to dry on head, they come off easy. Don't try to force green seeds off.
