how to save cosmos seeds

tumblingtomatoesOctober 14, 2008

HI newbee, wanting to know more about saving seeds from cosmos. I have some we planted from a seed pk we bought, soo pretty shades of pinks, we loved them! We wanted to know how to save the seeds from them so we can grow more.

Some of the flowers are dying off now, petals wilting & even beginning to fall off. How do we save the seeds?

Thanks a lot!

After the petals fall, the seeds will start to mature and then turn brown. You will want to wait until they are brown b4 harvesting them.

If you scroll down to the very bottom of the link below, you will see the seeds head (not a very good pic) and the seeds after harvest.
