lost a plant

Deb56garJanuary 2, 2013

I was searching through gardenweb and came across a plant that I thought I had bookmarked..but didn't. I know there are a zillion of plants...I would love to find it again. It is zone 6-9, had colors of pink to green w/yellow center. The plant has several arms that fan out, and each arm has spear shaped leaves that radiate off of each branch/arm. The plant appeared to have a span of 12+ inches and could attain a height of 5+ feet. If anyone could help direct me to finding this elusive plant, I would be very appreciative. Oh, there was a post that this plant was hit by a cold snap (maybe on the northwest coast) of 14 degrees, and it made it fine. Thanks!

Are you describing the leaves or flowers? If leaves, it sounds as if it might be a persicaria or tovara.
