Golden raintree seeds?

growerman(Z4)October 9, 2007

I just found a thick shrub/tree next to a building on campus. they pods attached look like be to be golden raintree seeds. They are inflated tri-lobed pods that contain a few seeds that remind me of deformed apple seeds. they have a flat white scar where they were attached inside the pod. Am I correct. the pods were turning brown when I picked a few (today).

As it turns out, it was an American bladdernut.
