Frost and Basil Seeds

foodeefish(z8SC)October 27, 2013

I was away for 2 days and we had our First frost while I was gone. My basil flowers are all brown now. Can I still save the seeds from them, or is it too late?

You can still save the seeds if they were fully formed and ready to be harvested before the frost.

If the seeds were starting to dry you could leave them out and harvest them in the spring. They will stay in their pods.
