Do Cosmos Hybridize?

squirrel_girlOctober 8, 2008

My mom has large white and lavender cosmos planted next to each other. If I collect seeds, will they come true to the parent plant or hybridize?

Thanks for the response.

Hi Squirrel Girl,
Cosmos do cross pollinate. The dominate color seems to be the lavender so you will end up with a higher percentage of lavender seedlings.
