Sages and the Mayan calendar

desertsage(7b USDA Sunset 10)December 20, 2012

I guess that since the Mayan calendar runs out so does the sage garden.

I can't believe that here it is 20 December and my Mexican Bush sage, Salvia leucantha was still in bloom. Just yesterday I saw one of the 2 Broad-tailed Hummingbird still hanging out, probing the flowers. Well I think it's time has come, our overnight lows were supposed to be 16 degrees. I have everything covered, to protect the new shoots. S greggii still has lots of flowers on it.

Well, I'm planning on being here Saturday. It's hard to believe we'll all be toast tomorrow.
