Camillia Seeds

ruthzNovember 3, 2008

I just harvested several seeds from my Camillia bush.

Anyone have any experience with growing Camillia from seed?

Since this is the Seed Saving forum, you might have better luck getting info over on the Growing from Seed forum (it is linked at the top of this forum's front page) and check the FAQ's there too as I am pretty sure there is one on Camillia.

There is also a Camillia Forum here that would be helpful to you.

Good luck.

ruthz, You could use a damp paper tissue and seal the seeds in an air tight bag. this process will germinate the seed. once you can see the roots plant it in a pot...

hope this helps.

I had good luck with potting fresh sansanqua seed in potting soil in a pot out in the yard...and in my veggie bed.
