Leyland in shade?

I need fast growing privacy screen under oaks. Will the Leyland Cypress be ok? I plan on mixing in some Hemlocks and a Cryptomeria or two if I can. It gets morning sun but is a mostly shady spot.

Leyland would not do well in shade. Hemlock is the best shade tolerant of the 3 you mentioned. You could also try Carolina Cherry Laurel.
