When to Plant Fava Beans?

I'd like to plant fava beans, what is the optimal time to plant them in the south? I am in zone 7b.

This is a little late, But This is my first year growing Favas. I planted some in Oct and again acouple of weeks ago. The ones planted in Oct are really start to jump now and are about 6in high large leaves. The others are just now sprouting. The fall planted ones survived heavy frost and 18 deg nights and are doing well. Next year I am going to do only a fall planting, but I will now more in another month or so. I used to plant them every year. For me, the best time was to plant them right after Christmas and they will be ready to pick during May. I had to quit growing them because my wife just didn't like them; little different for a Southern girl.
