growing food in shade

Robert_1(NW Oregon)June 12, 2004

I would like to grow some sort of food bearing plant in the shade under our fir tree right next to the house, it is almost complete shade and gets no direct sunshine . I would like to know the names of some of these plants and when to begin planting them.

Hi, one plant that comes to mind is asparagus. Just how well it will work in your situation is something for your discovery.
