If you want some PIZAZZ..find a dwarf Sunrise spirea.
Mine is nearly indestructible. Still in its pot rooted to the spot I'd planned to plant it..I dug under it leaving it in its pot and moved it to a similar spot with decent water source to the clay.
It has attained it's full height of 3 1/2 feet all around , startling lemony green foliage until hot weather when it gets a bit more realistic green and the soft rose flowers rise above the foliage.
It's a stunner ! Haven't even had to trim it..very tidy growth habit.
