You also might go to the salvia forum and ask there. There are some who have websites with many salvias.

My experience has also been that it is rare to find S. dorrii seed, but much easier to find the plants. Your best bet may be as Wantonamara suggests: the salvia forum here, and you can also try the Yahoo salvia group which has been established longer and may have a bigger audience. I believe I had some awhile back from a trade with someone, but they never germinated. I suspect they have some dormancy mechanism. They are easy to grow as plants though, depending on where you are located.

Good Luck!

I bought last year dorrii seeds from alplains.com, and now they are sprouting, keeping my fingers crossed to keep them alive. I would recommend this source of seeds they have many rare species there, only s.dorrii in 4 varieties - Salvia dorrii v. carnosa
Salvia dorrii v. dorrii
Salvia dorrii v. dorrii high altitude variety
Salvia dorrii v. pilosa, go and choose!
