Can someone identify this baby? I am in North Texas.

Most likely a type of garter snake. We used to catch them by the dozens when I was a kid. It may be a little ill-tempered when first encountered but becomes docile very quickly.

Hope this helps!

It looks way to big to be a garter snake! I used to catch them and they were no where near that big! Looks like a rattle snake to me.

It's definitely not a rattlesnake. The head shape is all wrong.

How big is that snake, Zackey....in your estimation?

Garter snakes in southern or warm climates grow to surprising sizes.

It sure looks alot bigger than that! I used to catch them as a kid (in PA) and they were not much bigger around than a pencil and only about 6 inches long.
